Citibank Singapore launches AXS D-Pay service

Citibank Singapore launches AXS D-Pay service

Citibank ATM or Debit cards can now be used at AXS Stations for the payment of bills and other services.

The new service from Citibank Singapore is facilitated by AXS Direct Pay (D-Pay), a payment environment introduced by AXS Pte Ltd at its AXS Stations in September 2008. Currently available at 144 AXS Stations across Singapore, the service will be offered at 30 other AXS Stations found at Citibank branches and SMRT Stations by the end of April 2009. All 576 AXS Stations are slated to be D-Pay enabled by year-end.

Robin Chua, Head of Deposits, Citibank Singapore, said, "With D-Pay, we have further raised the transaction banking capabilities that we offer our customers, allowing them greater access to different channels by which they can bank with us. This is part of Citibank’s continuous drive to offer our customers convenience and is consistent with our mission to expand our distribution network by having a presence where people live, work and play."

At AXS Stations, Citibank customers will be able to use their Citibank ATM or Debit card to pay for their Citibank credit card bills and other loan repayments. Payment of fines, renewal of season parking and road tax, booking and collection of cinema tickets, and the top-up of EZ-link and pre-paid cards are also available at AXS Stations. All transactions will utilise customers’ current ATM PINs, so there is no need for a new PIN code.

"AXS is pleased with the partnership to enable Citibank's customers to effect transactions on the AXS Stations using their ATM card and PIN. D-Pay ("Direct Pay") is an open platform on the AXS Station, which allows direct connectivity to banks or financial institutions to provide their customers with the convenience of making payments," said Joey Chang, Chief Executive Officer of AXS. "With this new payment environment, customers will be able to experience the convenience that comes with faster transaction speed and shorter waiting time," Chang added.
