Citi appoints Munir Nanji as regional head for Bank Services Group Asia Pacific

Munir will continue to report to Anthony Nappi, Managing Director, Region Head, Asia Pacific, Global Transaction Services.

Citi’s Global Transaction Services announced its appointment of Munir Nanji to take over the combined responsibility as the Regional Head for Bank Services Group Asia Pacific and Public Sector for GTS. Currently the Regional Head of BSG, Munir already has responsibility for managing the BSG business in 18 markets across Asia Pacific, driving team performance, and enhancing both customer and employee satisfaction levels for Citi’s BSG business in this region.

In his new role, Munir will continue to build on synergies that support structuring solutions, deepening relationships and developing strategic partnerships with Global Transaction Services’ new and existing public sector clients, including central banks, sovereign wealth funds and pensions. Munir will also have the responsibility for providing financial institution clients with Citi’s market-leading and innovative products and solutions. As part of his role, Munir will also ensure that clients in Asia Pacific will better leverage Citi’s global capabilities, platforms and infrastructure to drive revenue performance and enhance service quality.

Based in Hong Kong, Munir will continue to report to Anthony Nappi, Managing Director, Region Head, Asia Pacific, Global Transaction Services, and to Bharat Sarpeshkar, Managing Director, Global Head of BSG.
