Bank Rakyat's branch surpasses I-Aslah loans target

Bank Rakyat's Pasir Mas branch exceeded its target for the I-Aslah loans scheme in giving out loans totalling more than RM31 million for the first three months of this year.

Branch manager Samsiah Mahamad said the amount is part of the RM756 million given out for the personal loans scheme at the east coast level for the same period.

She said the I-Aslah personal loans scheme is one of the new products that has gained the interest of customers who can obtain a loan facility of up to RM200,000 with a repayment period of 20 years.

On the Syariah-based I-Aslah personal loans scheme, she said it offered low monthly repayments with a longer period for children's education, unexpected expenses and home renovations as well as travel.
