INVESTMENT BANKING | Yang to head SG China's Global Markets

Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking has announced that Yang Duan is new Head of its Global Markets division for China. He replaced Gilbert Tse, who has been appointed Head of Lyxor Asset Management for China.

Yang joins from Standard Chartered, where he was Head of Sales, Fixed Income, for China. Prior to this, he worked with Bear Stearns, Calyon and Credit Lyonnais. Yang holds a Masters in Mathematics from Wuhan University and a Diploma from Essec, France.

He will be responsible for developing Société Générale Corporate & Investment
Banking’s Global Markets franchise in the region. In particular, Yang‘s wealth of experience and business connections will help drive the development of the Global Markets flow trading platform as well as strengthening the bank's reach to Chinese corporate clients through leveraging SG China Inc.'s expanding banking network in China.

To be based in Hong Kong, Yang will report to Andrew Wardle, Head of Global Markets for Asia Pacific, and Frank Drouet, Deputy Head of Global Markets for Asia Pacific.
