Bangkok Bank ups interest in new fixed deposit product

Bangkok Bank has introduced a new fixed deposit account with increasing interest rates, from 1 to 1.5 percent per annum, over a period of 18 months. Interest will be paid every six months. Customers can enjoy the “Step Plus” offer up to 20 July 2009 by opening an account with a minimum deposit of US$14.65."The new deposit account offers interest rates in three steps starting from 1 percent for the first six months, 1.25 percent for the next six months and 1.5 percent for the final six months. The account will pay interest every six months throughout the maturity period," said Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President and Metropolitan Consumer Banking Director Ruchanee Nopmuang."Bangkok Bank always studies the needs of every customer group and develops a variety of financial products and services to cater to the needs of each individual customer. The bank therefore has a variety of deposit products, such as fixed deposit accounts, the tax-free and interest-multiplying deposit account Sinmathaya Subthawee, and the Kwan Bualuang fixed deposit account which offers life insurance protection worth ten times the deposit amount at a special low insurance premium," Mrs. Ruchanee said.
