State Bank of India to beef up workforce

Lender plans employing 25,500 personnel this year.

Deputy Managing Director and Group Executive of National Banking Group, Anup Banerji, said 20,000 of the jobs will be clerical.

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, SBI also plans to recruit 2,000 officers under its rural unit, who will have to serve 10 years in rural areas.
