Public Bank appoints Tang Wing Chew director
Tang has 45 year experience in financial services industry, starting as a Bank Negara Malaysia assistant economist.
Public Bank Bhd has appointed Tang Wing Chew as an independent non-executive director.
In a statement on Tuesday, the bank said Tang has also been appointed an independent non-executive director of subsidiaries, Public Islamic Bank Bhd and Public Investment Bank Bhd, according to a report in the Business Times.
"Tang has over 45 years' experience in the financial services industry, including research, management and project studies, training, mergers and integration, and stewardship of financial institutions," it said.
The bank said Tang joined Bank Negara Malaysia in 1966 as an assistant economist in the Economic Research Department.
